Poo-pee-do doggy toilet

When you have a dog, you know your friend will need to go outside from time to time. This can be a problem when you’re out working. When you don’t have a garden or when it’s not possible for your dog to go out alone, you face the same problem.

Does your dog stay inside during the day? Don’t you have a garden? Are you tired of worrying and rushing to get home to walk your dog? The Poo-Pee-Do can be the solution. The Poo-Pee-Do doggy toilet is a hygienic indoor doggy toilet that requires a minimum of maintenance. This system blocks odours without the use of chemicals or cat litter. Cleaning it once a week and a daily rinse will suffice.

You can place the Poo-Pee-Do anywhere you want. Just make sure your dog has access to this spot. You teach your dog that from now on, this will be ‘the spot’ when nature calls. In the manual you’ll find some methods to train your dog. From now on you’ll notice that your dog will be ‘occupied’ from time to time, without alarming you. You do not have to worry ever again when your dog is home alone, or when you’re late from a party. When you get home, you just pick up ‘number 2’ with a piece of toilet paper and you flush it down your own toilet. After this you rinse the Poo-Pee-Do and that’s it.

Tested at ‘The inspector’, the consumer programme on Radio 2

In 2019, the famous consumer programme ‘The inspector’ asked an independent person to test the Poo-Pee-Do. The result was fantastic: the Poo-Pee-Do was given an 8/10. You can read the review (in Dutch) on the website of Radio 2.

The advantages in a nutshell

How does it work?

You can place the Poo-Pee-Do in any room. No water connection or drainage is required Make sure that the doggy toilet is freely accessible to your dog.

Teach your dog how to use the Poo-Pee-Do. In the package you will find a training method with tips to teach your puppy or adult dog how to use the doggy toilet.

When your dog has used the doggy toilet, you remove the excrements with some toilet paper. You can just flush this in your own toilet. Then rinse the Poo-Pee-Do with water from the 500ml flask supplied.

The urine is washed away and is collected in a reservoir via the siphon. Thanks to the built-in water lock, the room remains odour-free. The closed reservoir at the bottom of the Poo-Pee-Do has a capacity of 6 litres. If you rinse once a day, at the end of the week you will have some water left in the reservoir.

At the end of the week you can clean the Poo-Pee-Do by sliding the reservoir at the bottom and by securing the small cap on the inlet. Now the reservoir is completely closed and you can take it with you. Loosen the large cap and turn the reservoir upside down above your own toilet to empty it.

Secure the caps into their original position, make sure the opening at the top is clear and push the reservoir back into the Poo-Pee-Do. Everything is back in place.

When you clean the dog toilet thoroughly, the scrub water is collected in the reservoir. After cleaning, empty the reservoir and put it back in place. The Poo-Pee-Do is ready for use again.

How does it work
ourstory

Our story

When we decided to buy a dog, we knew it wouldn't be easy. Actually, there was only one important obstacle: where would our little dog urinate, if it couldn't go outside?

There were dog toilets, but we saw clear disadvantages. Either you couldn't put them inside, or you had to clean them daily to avoid odour nuisance. Some models produced a lot of waste such as granules or absorbent pads. Those toilets may have been comfortable for the dog, but certainly not for the owner.

That's why we built our own dog toilet. Immediately the big test followed and Charel, our toy-poodle, came to live with us.

The first version of the toilet turned out not to be convenient. We had opted for a layer of artificial grass, but we quickly abandoned that idea.

We considered the grass to be dirty and too difficult to clean. We opted for just a little grid to walk on so everything is washable. This version 1.1, without grass, was a bit awkward to use. If we didn't clean the toilet every day, it soon started to smell. We also had to move the entire toilet to empty it. This meant quite an amount of work, time and again.

For a long time, we have been looking for an effective system to store the urine odourlessly An important criterion was that we only had to clean the toilet once a week. The next version with collection tray and odour trap was born. Easy to maintain, no foul odours and nice for our dog. We have further optimised that version. Because this concept is so unique, we have applied for a patent for it.

We call this handy toilet, which is comfortable for both dog and owner, Poo-Pee-Do.
